A solid pickup with round,hum free tone.
Another Dimarzio classic pickup, it’s been in their lineup for years. Performs very much like a nice vintage Jazz bass pickup, only without the 60 cycle hum. I’m not sure how a new ceramic magnet hum bucking pickup can sound so much like a vintage Alnico V single coil, but it does! Warm and round when played easy, J bass growl when you dig in.Another plus are the adjustable pole pieces for perfect balance between strings. One thing to consider is that the Model J is a fairly deep pickup. You’ll probably be okay but there is a small chance you may need to route your pickup cavity a little deeper for string clearance.
