    Sound good, but cheap, mass-produced looks..

    The Fender Custom shop 60s Jazz Bass pickups sound great, but I expected them to have fibre bobbins and cloth covered wire like any other high end pickups have. Instead they've got cheesy looking plastic bobbins and regular wire.. this of course doesn't affect the sound, but Fender should make better custom pickups for their own guitars than their competitors do.
