We re-engineered the PAF® using our patented technology and Larry DiMarzio’s own 1959 cherry sunburst Gibson® Les Paul® as the reference. We duplicated the weaker magnetic field in order to allow the strings to vibrate longer, as well as focus and articulate the attack and output.

Purchased this pickup because of the reviews I had read. I wanted a humbucker that sounded like a vintage PAF, who doesn't?, It did not disappoint. Fantastic clean tones without the mud often associated with HB pickups. Great string definition and clarity. Highly recommended. Just a solid " off the self" product that does what it claims to do.

Little bit more attack, still with a tight bottom end and warm mids.. Was thinking ya, it'll be warm and will need to push it with some Distortion.. But it has enough presence to push... Paired with a Super Distortion in the Bridge for a nice 1-2 Punch
