      The Gibson SG was made using 2 types of bridges, one with small stud posts and one with larger so when you make the pickguard you make the access holes for the smaller version and if you have a guitar with the larger it is simple to just enlarge the 2 holes with a power drill or similar tool, that's easy but you can't make the access holes smaller. No brainer if you know what you are doing.
