    Authentic '65 Jaguar Sound!

    I put in a pair of these to "finish out" a re-wire of the complete electronics system in an Indonesian-made VM Jaguar Squire that I recently purchased. While the Duncan Designed pickups that were OEM'd with the guitar are of very good quality and sound, I decided to keep the entire signal path original Fender, and changed the pickups tp these. You need to get used to turning up the bridge volume significantly, if not full out, because the output from either of these vintage models is about 6.8Kohms. The Duncan and many aftermarket Jaguar bridge pickups have their bridge output calibrated over 10K, with most around 12Kohms, like a hot humbucker. A solo/signal boost pedal, like the MXR Micro Amp or similar will more than take care of any solo work lift you need to cut through a heavy mix ...

    Fender Pure Vintage American '65 Jaguar Pickup Set

    I replaced the stock MIM Jaguar pickups with these. The '65 Jaguar pickups are lower output and have a more traditional tone which I prefer for a classic surf sound. These pickups also make the rhythm circuit more usable for me. I recommend these pickups for players who have a Classic Player Jaguar and want a more authentic traditional sound than the stock pickups provide.

    Real Jaguar Pickups !

    I bought a 70's Classic Vibe Jaguar , and by design the pickups were terribly microphonic, I add this set and it has made it a much nicer guitar to play. Very quick attack and chimey highs. With enough gain these pickups scream.

    Takes a little time

    Cross between a strat single coil and tele bridge..this pickup is its own animal, and adds tonal variety tomy guitar collection..subtle difference but worth it for serious tone hounds.
