      Great choice for solving jazz bass pickup shortcomings

      Since these are humbucking, they do not sound Exactly like standard jazz bass pickups and are less trebly. They do however, sound really good, esp. with both on full blast. I’m using flatwounds and the sound is warm and punchy and loud! As far as hum or buzz goes, they are absolutely stone dead quiet! The main reason I got them was for the adjustable pole pieces and I have to say they work beautifully at providing perfect string to string volume balance. I’ve had a number of high dollar pickups installed in this same bass and all of them left me wishing I could brig up the A string and D string and lower the E to even things out. Not these, the included Allen key works wonders and within minutes it was golden. Very impressed!!
